PAL ALERT!: LOS ANGELES FLIGHTS WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO LAX MIDFIELD GATES STARTING JUNE 1ST
As per PAL advisory, "Effective June 1, 2021, PAL will be forced, over our protest, to move our flights departing and arriving at Los Angeles to the new Midfield Satellite Concourse (MSC) of the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The MSC gates are in a separate concourse that is connected to the main TBIT area by an underground tunnel." Philippines bans other South Asian countries
Philippines ban India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Starting May 07 to 14, 2021, travelers from these nations arriving before May 7 are required to undergo an “absolute facility-based” 14-day quarantine, notwithstanding a negative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) result. Filipinos and foreign passengers merely transiting through these countries need not complete a 14-day quarantine in facilities but must comply with the government’s existing testing and quarantine protocols. Specimens of COVID-positive travelers from the said nations must undergo genome sequencing.
PLANS OF CONTINOUS PAL FLIGHTS FROM PHILIPPINES TO ISRAEL
Plans of continuous flights to and from Tel Aviv by October 2021 is now on the works by Philippine Airlines to help the mounting need of OFW'S air transportation between Tel Aviv and Philippines. On May 23rd, Israel will slowly reopen its tourism to tour groups who has been vaccinated and eventually, solo travelers on July 2021. Dexter Lee, PAL's Chief Strategy and Planning Officer believes that Holy Land is one of the countries Filipinos can visit without visa requirements and this direct flights can greatly help jumpstart both country's tourism. Using Airbus A350 aircraft, PAL is starting at twice a week flights to Tel Aviv's Ben-Gurion International Airport....
